As the third generation of his family to be associated with building construction in Sonoma County, Steve developed an early interest in architecture and its impact on people’s lives. He received a Bachelor’s of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and spent his early career working concurrently as an architect and contractor, while pursuing his professional registration as an architect.

His career has given him the opportunity to work with architects and winemakers throughout the world, providing a unique perspective on the transformative potential of architecture.

Paralleling his professional career, Steve served on the City Planning Commission and Design Review Board of the City of Petaluma, eventually chairing both committees. Steve’s diverse experience in; architecture, construction, development and regulatory-planning provide a unique perspective into the entire building process. In his 30 years of practice Steve continues to test the boundaries of his discipline; his rigorous approach to design results in buildings of innovative aesthetic that are equally intuitive and intellectual.
